Hello all ^_^

Hi every one! My name is Liv from Elizabeth city NC. I've been looking for another fish forum for a while now and I've been lurking around this one for a few weeks. I used to mod the clinic and emergency care sections for a goldfish forum but I didn't care for the way that the person who ran that forum treated ppl. I wanted to help fish with ppl problems (lol) and that wasn't always the attitude around there.

I've been keeping and studying fish for 24yrs. I favor goldfish and koi but I keep every thing from angels to oscars. Ppl bring me alot of unwanted fish so I have alot of different species and way to many tanks and ponds. My husband says we should rename our home "The E-City Aquarium" and charge admission. He's tolerant of my addiction though ^_^.

I need a forum as an outlet for my fish geek-ness so that other people don't think I'm crazy lol I look forward to meeting new fish lovers here and learning more from you all!

Great to have another Koi and Goldfish lover. We need more advice, pics ,ect from those species.

I think you have found the right place. We are all equal here. Some have more years under there belt then some others, but we all agree on one thing. WE ARE ALL STILL LEARNING EVERYDAY.

Yes I'm close. I live about 30 minuets from the border. Most of my family lives in Chesapeake Va and I have to go to Va beach to get alot of my fish supplies. Going to meet other ppl who share the same passion is not out of my way.

I'm glad ppl here seem to accept goldfish & Koi as part of the hobby. I've been a member of cichlid forums where ppl either despise them all together or view them as having no value other than to be fed to something else. They get quite nasty about it lol.

I like your style.

We are all fish freaks here. Some of us keep mainly African Cichlids (like myself) some of us are Betta, some are pleco freaks, Saltwater freaks , and there is also some people that have a little bit of everything (fern)

One day I would love a pond with a bunch of koi and goldfish.

I have some goldfish (I think, lol) in a huge pond and a saltwater tank inside. I hope to have more pond fish next year though. I used to have cichlids also.

I'm like you and think we can all get along! LOL

I'm willing to ship pond goldies to good homes in the spring - late summer. People bring me so many fish that I have to rehome the healthy ones to make room for those that still need help. I pay for the shipping and all the shipping supplies. I have fish that have gone on to homes in CA, NV, GA, FL, ect. so if you know of any one interested in taking in rehabed fish then hook me up lol!

I've also got Oscars, GSPs, and some other large miscellaneous species in need of homes. It's just hard to find people who know what they're doing. Many of the fish I have are not suitable for aqua-noobs.
