| So I have a group of dolphin head, 5 of them are at 7-8inches and 4 at about 5inches. For some reason they go through the breading dance and i have witnessed eggs being dropped and picked up by the female but they never hold long enough! Are they still too young? and what is a good food to entice them to breed besides water changes and temps? I am only sure of one female of the group and I want to reduce the group down to 1male and 4females and the rest go to jessecichlidguy. | |

| Blood worms, brine shrimp, nls and spirulina flake is what I feed mine. Along with the occasional treat of live black worms or earth worms. The size is good, put the holding mothers into a 10g, they may be getting too harassed in the main tank to hold to term. Once they get the hang of it you will have lots of fry! Can you get side pics of each and me and Jack can try to sex them for you |

| I think my deep water haps are harrassing them cuz they only hold for 2-3 days and wala they are gone. I feed them only NLS and once a week I treat them to some bloodworms, I'll try the other suggestions and up the protein intake. Thanks!
Alk- the larger ones I had for a while but the 5-6inchers I got from Jack D. These are the females that hold. | |

| They may hybridize with the deep water haps...... not 100% sure though. |
