| I've had 7 female betta together for over a year in a 55 gal lots of caves and plants. I removed the breeding pair of angels about 2 weeks ago and that is the only change in the tank. about an hour ago the biggest female (deep red almost black) started attacking the other females then they where all over each other it was like a barricuda attack. 1 dead, 2 wounded and no tails left, the 4 biggest a few scales missing but okay. This happened in like 10 mins. As soon as I seen it I started removing females so now they are all in there own tank. Red Girl buried with the iris bulbs. |

| They were fighting over territory and dominance after you took the Angels out who were the dominate ones up till them. | |

| they're all happy in there own tanks so that's where they're staying. I felt so bad when they litererally tore red girl apart I didn't even try to get a net just reached in and grabbed her but it was to late. I've seen bettas fight but this was a gruesome attack. 4 of them attacked her at once. |
