At least the gravels not hot pink with a neon castle. Now let her learn how to clean it, do the water changes, feed, stock, etc...., because it's part of her furniture now and nothing you do to it well be right. lol!

I let her and the kids do this one since its in the living room. Next i'm building a rack for my bedroom so i can put another 29 under the 10. That one i get to do on my own and it will be more natural.

Make a spectacular natural display and soon the living room tank will be changed.

Mbuna really need a larger tank than a 29. I have a trio of victorians in my 29. They are a bit more docile. Saulosi (in MY experience) have been pretty aggressive... I have mine in a 60 Gallon and they are still pretty aggressive to each other. Your tank looks good though!!! Collecting tanks gets addictive...lol

Thanks for the input, i'm just gonna have to keep looking. I just want something other than platys, mollies, guppies, swordtalis. I'm looking for something colorful and fun to watch. Any suggestions on fish to read up on would be greatly appreciated.

what I would do seeing that the wife and kids are involved Pick out a small group of fish say 8 to 10. Something you like and know would go together. Let the wife and kids pick 2 or 3 species and stock with those. Believe me it will save a lot of headaches and arguments about no you can't put guppies with oscars. lol!
