| Yes mac's discus just google that and you will get the site. I got so many mix reviews on this place. So I'm not really sure what I will get. They could turn out stunning or deformed acording to what the reviews I read said.
I will wright up and show photo as soon as I get them. It's an adventure.

| I Got mixed reviews some were very happy with the fish and even went to his place. Others were ok with the fish some were not happy at all. I saw photos of some people discus they got from him. They were pretty and healthy looking but not show quality yet better then most LFS. No one ever said they were sickly. Even people that did not like the fish said they were healthy. So I thought what the heck I will try them I had a good feeling. Some discus snobs might not agree with me not going with more expencive better quality. I say whatever I'm new to discus and did not want to spend too much on these fancy fish. It would be like a 16yr new driver getting a ferrari IMO.
Are there any other fish where the breeder and importer are so important that you get flamed for not ordering from "the best"?

| I was actually talking to allen b/c he said "good luck" I dont know if that was sarcasim for he has orderd from there before. Or if it was him just saying good luck.
I am pretty sure everyone will get mixed reviews. So I would just go with the gut feeling ...works best most of the time. Let me know when they get there I would like to see some pics.

| WEll I got them. All look great and are healthy. Only thing was the so called Green Tefe are NOTHING like they should be but still nice looking fish. The red scribble was bigger then I thought he would be and looks amazing. Here is a group shot. The red scribble was laying in the bag when I open them I was so scared but after adding some clean fresh water he came to life. SO all was well the poop looks good they look well cared for. all and all I am happy with the chance I took. | |

| Yeah I know the tefe are wild and come from Lake Tefe but are really just wild greens. The ones I ordered were said to be domestic Greens the breeder was trying to green a more natrual looking fish I guess. whatever they are I like then and they do look a little more wild then the others. here is a good shot of one. he has the bars like the wilds do that's about it. His marking should change as he grows. | |

| Do some more research!!.........Many of the "Discus" dealers are just distributors of Asian bred and raised Discus........Compare them with Stendeker Discus which are bred and raised in the US as are several other companies..............................If you buy, ask what they are fed and ask for proof that they aren't fed live black worms or other live foods........Ask if they are guaranteed parasite free....Ask if any hormones have been used to enhance colors.
If you buy from a LFS you can look for shallow bellies and thin heads or back bones that are prominent......Get The LFS to feed them pellets or flakes before you buy.......Fish raised on live black worms and such are prone to parasites and are difficult to get them to eat flakes, pellets, or frozen foods.
If you get the "Asian?" Discus quarantine them for at least two weeks and treat the tank with Jungle Parasite Clear Tank Buddies.

| I live in Western Washington, I would not buy from this guy, most of the discus on his website he dont breed anymore, he got himself in trouble awhile back when he shipped some of his great looking discus but after the people would receive them a few months later they complained how the color of his discus would fade back to normal coloring. I talked alot better breeder I do business with that told me if you go to his place all his tanks are in a barn that has no lights on, he gives you a flash light to go in to see the tanks. What he said was the guy uses cheap dye in the tanks and that the reason he doesnt have any lights on for you to see what the water looks like. He also told me that why alot of his specialty discus he dont have anymore for this reason. I hope I dont get in trouble on here for promoting a breeder where I live but here is his website. www.bobbyswaterworld.com
If you can cancel your order I would do so.

| The only thing I can say is; I hope you are quarantining for at least two weeks......
PS: I saw six 4 to 5 inch Blue Diamond (???) Asian Discus that just arrived Friday at a friends LFS that were covered with what I think is columnaris.

| Yeah these fish have had hormons i'm 99% sure of that. So that would be the reason why people would say the color fades. Mine are very healthy they were shiped very well. They adjusted very well and were eatting after an hour of being in the tank. I'm happy with these guys I know they are not perfect the price was right and all and all not bad for my first discus.
Would I buy from him no I would try another I would like some fish from Hans.

| If y'all are willing tto spend some money idk if y'all have heard about discus Hans in Baltimore he has the best discus I've ever seen my cousin first bout them and every one he has has taken first prize in discus shows I recently bout a blue snake skin for 30 at 2.5 inches because I was so jealous of my cousins and now it's at about 4.5 inches growing quick and getting more intense colors every week I've never seen a bad review there and I hope this helps | |

| if you want tefe's I would order from snookin21 on monsterfishkeepers or simplydiscus.
han's discus are real good fish, and there is no such thing as a discus snob in my opinion. just remember once a discus is stunted it won't grow. most of these online fish you see from mac and other places are hormone feed discus or stunted and won't grow.
