I've been kinda sorta lurking on here for a while but thought I'd take the plunge to say hello. My name is Duc Nguyen. I live in Haltom City, TX. Moved here a few years ago from Austin. I am also a member of Hill Country Cichlid Club. As far as my obsession with fish...I've kept fish for as long as I can remember. I went through several transitions as far as fish types. First, I started with Malawians. I kept Ps. elongatus and was fascinated when mine spawned in my little 20 gallon (i know...way too small). Then I went to Tanganyikans....I was fascinated by goby types because I thought they looked cool and were biparental mouthbrooders. Finally, I've switched to West Africans. I have several 55s in my fishroom. Here is my current list of species I keep: Stetatocranus casuarius, Steatocranus gibbiceps, Steatocranus sp. "red eye", Benitochromis nigrodorsalis 'Moliwe', Chromidotilapia guntheri guntheri, Chromidotilapia guntheri loenbergi, Tahuantinsuoya macantzatza, Neetroplus nematopus. Non Cichlids: I also have Betta simplex, and Betta picta and a pair of albino Bristlenose that spawn quite often.
Well, this is me in a nutshell. In case you need to get a hold of me, just PM me on here...I tend to be pretty shy/quiet so it may take me a little bit to get back to you...but I'll do my best. :)
