Im changing 25% of my regular weekly water change, and when im ready to refill i found out that the water in my house is coming 102 degrees!, im stuck now i dont want to put the water in that temp and then harm the fish.. any suggestions?

set it in buckets and add some ice. or just sitting inside should cool it off.

Lol sorry i figure after i post it thats almost boiling point, this stupip thermometer is used it has bad batterys and it was reading wrong lol, the water is 92 degrees, will that be safe??

I still don't understand how your tap water is coming out so warm. Mine is about 75 degrees.

think of it this way. during the heat of the summer when you first turn on your hose it is really hot then cools off.

have you tried running it for a while?

are you getting the water from the sink?

It should cool Dow after a few minutes. It is that hot because it is comin from pipes from the street through you garage. That's where it is very hot. After a while. The water will cool down. Just let it run for a few minutes and you should be ok

Water boils at 212 F or 100 C.

Dump some ice in it, I have the same issue from time to time.
During summer you need to check the water temp before you start a water change or do it in the morning.

i was actually think of doing the ice thing, but i just let it sit for 10mins each bucket and problem solved!! cheers

Prepare your water the day before your water changes. The water will be room temp.
