I have seen some LFS call it a yoyo loach but that could be wrong.I'm not good with those.

Not yoyo, it is a botia of some sort though. With yoyo's you can see yoyo spelled out on their markings hence the name.
Tiger loach possibly? There is a large website I found one time with pics of all the different loaches on it........

Looks closest to Yo-Yo loach (Botia Almorhae) but usually the markings are a little more defined and easier to see the "Y -O" spelled out. It's definitely in the Botia family. Here's a good website with all the loaches. Click on a name to see pics.

That's the site!
Rough guess on age and length will also help with the ID
I really don't think he is a yoyo, I just caught and inspected a bunch of them recently......
I think we have a few that look like him in the shop, I will see what kind they are and that may help you ID yours.......

THX, I don't know his age though, as he was a part of a 110G purchase. I would say he's at least 4". I checked that site and none of the botias there matched him. I am sure you know more about this species though, and wanted to ask if they were even possible to breed any botia in aquariums. I know clown loaches are not without the use of injections or steriods...

From what i heard a majority of Botias do not breed in captivity unless you can prove me wrong..

Looks like a yoyo to me but with a weird pattern, i have a yoyo that does not spell out yoyo on it's side, more like yoy... not all yoyo will have 'yoyo' spelled out on the side

Not Exactly Sure... Image_preview

Thats pic of a yoyo on loaches.com and there are no 'yoyo' on it
