DOGS pick up or local delivery only... Arlington, TX

Well, I asked everyone that I know in California if they'd be willing to watch my pups while I got settled into a place. Unfortunetly, no one is capable of doing so. So, as much as I hate to, I think I need to rehome these girls. I have looked into the cost of having these girls shipped to me and I think that I am open to it too.

What I would like to have happen is that someone here can give these girls a good home.

Although, I am willing to do everything in my power to keep these girls, I can't say for certain that I'll be able to do it. I mean, there are temperature requirements for shipping, 45 - 85 degree fahrenheit, since the shipment has to be booked ahead of time, we would need to be able to accurately predict whether the weather would fall between 45 and 85, so I wouldn't wan't to try shipping during the summer. Then, a vet's note clearing the animals to fly has to be provided and the note must be within 10 days old. So, those criteria limit the shipping dates to October (give or take a month) and March (give or take a month). That only works assuming that I have found a place and still have money to pay for all this. It could happen. It's extremely likely that I would have a steady job and a pet friendly home by March, but i can't be certain.

Anyhow, I would love to keep these girls, but what I want first is to know that they will be safe and cared for. That may be with me and it may be with one of yall. So, please, if you are interested in some pups let me know. If you willing to keep them until I get settled in... let me know.

So, about the pups. There are 2 of them. They are about 8 months old. They love people and other animals (except that they don't have any interest in fish ). They are Mastiff mixes I was told that they may have mixed with shepards, but many people have pointed out the similarities between rhodesian ridgebacks. Either way, they will be fairly large, probably more or less 100 lbs as adults. They have been spayed, microchipped, and have had all their shots. They are great indoor or outdoor dogs. We currently keep them inside 75% of the time. They are potty trained and mostly house broken. Well, they don't chew on shoes anymore . Seriously, they are good pups. They understand a number of commands and they understand the word "no". However, left to their own devices... they can still get into trouble. So, we have kept them gated in the kitchen over night and when we are out of the house. We will continue to work with these girls, so that they make great and welcomed additions to any family.

oh yeah, as toys and for chewing, they like bones, rawhides, and sticks. As far as treats, they don't need special treats... just hand feeding some of their food does the trick, however we do give them quality all natural treats too.

Hope you find them a home. If anything I have an acre they can run around on. But It looks like they are inside doge.

Yes I noticed the ridge for the ridgeback right away. They will be huge and need lots of acreas to run in. Nothing worse then these types of dogs being kept in an apartment or small house. sorry if I sound nasty but I am TOTALLY against this type of thing.

ridgebacks r great dogs. i knew a few ppl that had them. they get really big but sweet dogs. u could put them in an apartment but wouldnt want to tho. my bf has a bluetick-heeler-beagle cross and she crazy but we take her for 2 30 min walks every day so its really up to the person who wants them. i had that dog in a horse farm for while but she got to aggressive to the horse so i had to put her in the apartment and giv her to my bf.

1st night went well. Woke up are they were both sleeping under my car. They seem to like it so far. Get along with my kidos, my cat and my Pit. They are veryyy sweet dogs.

I'm glad to here that the pups are doing good.I would have taking them but my yard is not big enough for three dogs.I know you will take good care of them.What ever happen to that little white pup you found?

I woke up one Morn and she was gone. I have not seen her sence. I miss her she was a sweety.

Yeah she was a stray...wonderd up and stayed for 2 weeks and then moved on I guess. We called her "Coach" b/c she was wearing a very nice coller from the brand "coach".

i'm happy they are doing well. i'm thinking about delivering the vacuum just to see them. i think my wife will want to too. not real excited about seeing marley though. lol

ps Dogs are great. I was driving up the yesterday and seen them running around playing in the yard. Looks like they are having fun.
