They are a little over 2 inches.......They are behaving like they are adults, going thru all the mating dancing and displays.

I have one as well.. ~3". He's very smart, wish i could find him a mate.. atleast i think it's a him.

In those pics shes about a year old and about 3-4 inches long. She's only about 5 right now. EBJD's grow really slow after they hit a certain point.

How do you sex them ? Is it like sexing a normal JD the Females have more blue on the gill plates then the males? If so mine is a girl. I just read that most at Male so i just call mine a boy. But I think because the blue on the gill plates It could be a female.

That one of yours with the really nice markings looks great the other is nice but that one is going to be a stunner. Very nice fish. I love mine he is such a punk with lots of personality mine is 3".

Here is mine I have had her for 9 months she was 1" when I got her.

That is a nice looking fish..........Male Dempseys have pointed dorsal and anal fins.....The females have a much more square appearance to the back of the fins.

Snowflake, yours is almost certainly a male. dano, I'm not sure on yours as they are still a bit young, but it looks like you may have one of each.
