| Restarting this hobby after the lose of my A/C's almost 5 years ago. Currently have 55 gallon Community tank and took the dive to the "dark side" as so many call it, and have just set up a 20 gallon S/W. My 11 year daughter (under my watchful eye of course) has 29 gallon Community tank, 29 gallon female betta tank (with a few other fish they seem to get along with) and a divided 10 gallon with male Betta's. My up coming project is a 175 gallon bow front tank that my husband will be making repairs on the stand starting this week.  You folk will note from time to time I will make a joke about the husband and my hobby but in all honesty he is the first one out to the car when he knows I have went on a "fish shopping spree". Of course he maybe also checking out how much over time he needs to work the next week to support my hobby lol. Looking forward to talking  with everyone. | |

| Thank you everyone looking forward to a good time here. Great new is David got the stand for the 175g rebuilt today. Now all that is left is pick up my bulk head fittings in Dallas week after next and trying to get this big ape down the hall and in our bed room. 20 g S/W is cycling right along, I still have not killed the evil Damsel yet lol. | |

| Right now I have a lot of livebearers that will be going to cycle after that I plan to move my 3 Parrots, a few Rainbows I have and the DoJo's. Once I feel like its "aged" enough I have 4 German Rams that will go as well. So far I have not killed the Rams despite being told they are very hard to keep  . I have a lot of plants so I am thinking of doing Apisto's and from there I am not sure what I will place in. The three Parrots are being jerks towards one another in the 55 but not bothering anyone else. If they settle in once I move them then they will stay if not I will need to find something larger that will fit into this setting. I LOVE Discus but have been told I need to do 50% water change every week to keep them happy. I have found my Rams do not like that much of a water change, plus I must admit I am a little scared of working with something that delicate. | |
