Do a big water change and get some general antibiotics in there. Think it was a fight?

not sure, aside from the cloudy eyes there dosn't appear to be any damage to him. i am hoping it was because i had to delay doing the water change till today.

Using melafix will aid in a quick recovery.
It has aloe that helps heal most infections.

the gold head is slowly starting to come around, he isn't just sitting on the bottom of the tank and he is eating now.

moved the gold head to the 10 gallon tank, cheaper to treat that way, he's is less lethargic and the cloudy eyes are gone, i may be looking at doing something with the silly sunflower cichlids would rather keep the comps, calvus's, the frontosas and the goby cichlids

small question, how do you tell if the fish is blind in one eye? the gold head has an eye that is not normal to how it was before, other then that he is almost finished being treated and is about to go back into the main tank.

i guess you have to tell by his intereactions. he will keep his good eye towards other fish when being confronted so he can see them. aslo you can tell allot fo time when they eat on how they approach the food. i hope he is not blind.

the one looks like it has a light constantly shinning in it the other eye is normal and he sees well enough to go after the tetras in the hospital tank with him

think once i get the new tank up and running or if i can sell or trade the sunflower the 125 will be calm and peacefull again. then it will be the compreccups, calvus's fronts and the goby cichlids, which don't mess with the other speices in the tank.
