is there a such thing as bad hermit crabs. reason i ask is my lfs has these big hermit crabs like fist size he says they will clean your tank real well im just worried they will eat my other hermit crabs.

Hermits that big will eat snails, smaller crabs, shrimp, small fish and anything slow or not paying attention.

I definitely wouldn't get hermit crabs bigger than your thumbnail. That's what I started out with.
