| so about a week ago i walk into my fish room to find one of my cyp utinta females dead. she got spooked or chased into i plastic plant i had and the long blades on the plant had gone through her mouth and out her gill. that was just crazy!!! then yesterday i walk into my fish room and in the same tank i find a kelisa female who was spooked or chased dead. she was face down buried in the in sand sticking straight up and down. what did i do fish gods to deserve this lol. | |

| David, sorry to hear about the losses. There is either a curse, or the fish are depressed and creative with their suicide methods. In 11 tanks, I only have 2 fish that get spooked when the lights come on (Pacu), the rest think it's feeding time. Even the catfish don't get spooked with the lights coming on, they just take their time heading for their caves. I wish you luck in helping keep them calm. Try some fish Prozac.  That may help them stay calm.  I know it helps with our cats. | |

| yeah. the cyps are feeders in the wild so they are alwasy jumpy but the kelisa i am not sure as to why. they are a jumpy fish but i would expect them to swim into the glass and kill them selves not dive into the sand lol. | |
