So i was having a beer last night with some friends and i met a friend of a friend who breeds fish for fun. He offered to sell me the fallowing.

Zebra Long Pelvic Mdoka(wild) 4-5 inches proven breeding group $125 for 1m & 4f

Ngara FlameTail wild trio 4-5 inches proven breeding trio $100 for 1m & 2f

I never intended to breed any fish but sounds like it would be fun to learn. Is that to much for what he offers. I have a 55gl cycling with an emperor 400 and coral substrate(fine).

Is the price O.K. and do i have the correct set up?

No, only thinking of getting one or the other. $$$$ is hard to get nowadays.

Ok, I was gonna tell you that once they start breeding, anything other then their mate has a real high risk of being killed -- and those fish arent cheap.

Honestly,
I really like the price. If you have a healthy, clean tank, you should be able to make your money back with the first spawn on either of those combos. But, thats my 2 cents.

i would go with the peacocks. price sounds about right for a wc trio

I would go with the Ngara Flametails. Found how long they have been breeding, because you would hate to get stuck with a trio that used to breed. Find that out, but the price sounds good.
