| Ya... you need at least 100-200 watts of full spectrum lighting for the plants to do well. It looks good so far! Whats going in it? |

It looks good so far! Whats going in it? It really doesn't matter about the wattage but the color spectrum. I have 72 watts in my planted tank and it's growing much faster then when I had 200watts. I have 16k spectrum now as compared to 10k.

| It's 2x65 watt coralife lights at 10,000k. Don't worry I know a little something about planted tanks. I have 2 others. I only have low light plants with the exception the swords. I dose with ferts and use root tabs. My lights put the tank at around a little over 1 wpg it's like 1.5 give or take.
I'm just moving my stock from my 55 over here is what I got. I might change as they mature.
1 ebjd 1 green severum 1 red severum ( in qt tank) 1 heros notatus ( in Qt tank) 1 geo Brasiliensis 6 emperor tetra 6 red eye tetras 3 pictus cats 1 rubbernose pleco
largest fish is 4" right now. I'm not sure all will work out in the long run. We will see.
Now I have a 55 gal empty. I might set it up I might sell it can deside my husband wants me to keep it. I thought that was kind of funny. So I might move more fish around from my 20 gal and 36 gal.
It is safe to say I am done buying tanks and done buying fish for a while. It feels good to have every thing right were you want it.

| I would put the teras and rubber lip pleco in the 55g. Its not easy trying to catch tetras in a big planted tank....And the rubber lip is docile enough that he would work well with them. |

Yes the tetras were what I was going to move once my cichlids got bigger. I will just have to lower the water to 5 inches and then it's not that hard to catch them. Might have to take some rocks and things out too. So far all is good and they love the new home. The pictus cats really love the space they are so active. I can't wait to add my new babies to the tank. The red severum and notatus are in a QT tank. I will post more photos once I get the tank how I like it. I just kind of throw stuff in. Should I got with more wood less rock or more Larger rocks and keep the wood I have? Hummm.

| Now I'm thinking one big center piece of wood or lots of small wood and build with it?
Because I have a little ways to go till I have the aquascaping how I want it.

| I got my background 5 feet for $2 it should have been $10 but he only charged me for 1 foot I love it. I got a huge sword too it's almost 2 feet tall. The water is low because Im treating the new pictus cats for ich. Less water less treatment. | |

| The fish are in it. 1 Geophagus" brasiliensis 1 ebjd 1 green severum
Then I have a notatus and a red spot severum to go in but I might have to sell the geo.
I have some tetras and 3 pictus cats. It's a south American cichlid tank for the most part.
