| That rod might damage them. Just get a Q-Tip and push the lower jaw down and the babies come pouring out. | |

| I know most do use a syringe, but it seems kinda neat having that angle and ease of shooting the water... | |

| I dont use anything just turn them face down and push my thumb on the bottom of the mouth to get her to open the mouth and she will spit when gasping for air. I havce never lost or smushed tfhem....eggs and babie fry are very delicate! | |

| I think it is easier to hold the female in a little tub of water and use a q-tip to gently pull her bottom lip down. The fry will come out of her mouth. I have even done it with Cyps who have a very fragile mouth with no porblems. | |

| i perfer the q-tip/toothpick to open the mouth and then dunk the females head in a tub of water and repeat dunking till all fry are out. | |

| I guess because my females are so small. . . but it take me forever to strip them. I do the "dunking" method, but it seems like a few fry always stay stuck at the back of their throats. The dental syringe looks so much easier to me and just as safe if not safer. At least that way I won't have to take them out of the water. :) | |

| I promise you those flushers are 10 times easier and faster than any other method out there. I've tried them all. | |
