| Hi everyone, as u all know i;m partial to nem's, I picked up a seabae about 6 week's ago, and i knew better, it was bleached out, but got it anyway. The good new's is it has finally attached and is eating on it's own....yipee. It no longer smells bad, and is getting a little bit of it's sticky back. All in all it seem's to be comming along, I'm keeping my finger's crossed. I was wondering if any one here has ever brought one back from near death?. I have saved bubble tip's, condy's ect, but this seabae is my real challenge. I think it is even turning a tich pink ( it's disk), and i do mean just a tich.lol. Anyone have any experiance with the seabae?.........Kim | |

| Sorry I know this isnt helping you, but I'm curious. How do you feed anemones? What do they eat? | |

| Hi, well I feed mine a couple of thing's, such as cut up silversides, shrimp, mysis shrimp, and ive starting feeding Rod's Reef food. I pinch up the chopped food with feeding tong's and touch their tenticals, they then grab the food and take it to their mouth's, the mysis, and cyclopse , i suck up in a turkey baster and gently squirt it at them. My seabae , i had to feed with a pipet, and ever so gently put it in it's mouth, just a little at a time. But now, it's eating finely chopped up meaty food's on it's own . | |

| the sebae is one of the more difficult ones to keep. just follow the general guidelines and you should be fine. keep water quality high and feed it weekly or every other week. | |

| Hey there, man, I havent been on this websight in a while. . Well to be truthful, I drove myself crazy trying to keep my water perfect 0 nitrates ect, so I stopped number chaseing and just started doing 20% water changes every 2 week's, so about 30 gal's of fresh clean water. ( 180 gal). I noticed when I let my nitrates get up to 40, my sebaes started to improve faster. I just purchased a little guy, bleached of course, and put it in my 10 gal tank. This guy i have under 65 watt 50/50, however the sand bed is 5 inches, i was curious just to see what would happen. It's been about 3 week's now and it's getting color (tanish ,purple). I'm real pleased. I have learned 1 big no no with these guy's, I cant put 2 sebaes in the same tank,or any other nem's( long tentical, rose bubble, carpet)the chemical warfare is too great, and someone alway's comes close to death. But I do have a huge purple long tentical, brown long tentical, bubble tip, flower and curley q in a 125 gal, who are all thriveing LOL. My sebae i first posted about on this sight grew to around 13 inches across( breath takeing) it is now in my son's tank in Ky. Ok now that i have written a book, i hope i answered your question some what , it was nice talking to you.............. | |

| i think the color loss is from the loss of zoozanthella it gives them their color and helps feed them belive its from not enough light or not strong enough light if you can save them youre very good because they need perfect water and light conditions wish you lots of luck | |

| Agreed on the loss of zoozanthella, these 3 were pure white, and had no sticky to their tentacle's at all. In my experiance with the long tentacle(Macrodaclya Doreeasis)the 2 in the pic's are # 5 and 6 that have been brought back to health, the pic's dont do them justice , they have thrived on good feeding's , med to high light, and water, well, I dont keep perfect water. I n my 3 tank's my nitrate's run 40ppm and under, my ph run's a little high8.4. and it made me crazy lol, so I stopped testing, just starting watching my livestock, and everyone has done great. Now, my Sebaes( Malu Heteractic and Heteractis Crispa) they are a little more demanding . The little guy in my 10 gal is under 65 watt 50/50 antintic/white, I really did not expect that nem to make it, but it is doing great, and I am pretty sure will make a full recovery. Please dont think i'm saying keep dirty water and your nem will thrive lol, all I'm saying that in this hobbie ,Ive seen what work's for one does'nt alway's mean it will work for other's. | |

| congrats! I have found that a nem thats being hosted takes much longer to recover than one thats left alone, I have actually had clowns host anemone to death. | |
