| Looks just like one to me. Could be a firefish as well. They are very close. I would call it a fire fish since the males sell for 200 each at bthe local stores. http://cichlidlovers.com/a_fire_fish.htm | |

Actually they are not called that since they are not albinos at all. Look at the eyes.

| It looks a lot like my male strawberry peacock. If it was a female it would be a pale peachy color.

The fish world has so many different names for fish it's hard to guess what they would call these on the east coast.

| Firefish and Strawberry Peacocks are both hybrids. Fire Fish come from germany and are a german red cross. Strawberry Peacocks are usually from asia and juiced up to give them a nice color for the LFS to sell them and usually fade after some time. The one you have looks like a Strawberry to me. Mas Roberts, yours looks like a hybrid female peacock. True breed female peacocks are usually grey or dark grey in color. There are a few exceptions. Albino eurekas are one of them. The Albino female eurekas lack the bright cyan blues in the fins and body.
FYI if they are selling firefish in AZ for 200 each, contact me. I was selling them for $30 Each all day long.

I'll let everyone know when I get more in. $199.99 is an organized shakedown.

| I got a some strawberry peacocks from Kory a few months ago and one stayed a pale peachy color and had babies so i know it is a female. The other one Is the daddy so I know it's a male. The male just keeps gettin better lookin the longer I have it. It's hard to describe the color of it. It's a bright orange with like a pearly purple sparkle. Hmm, I guess it wasn't that hard to describe after all!
