I got a few of these when I bought my cherry shrimp. They are lots better looking than the regular MTS and seem to be more active out ofthe gravel. They do breed like them too. If you want some they are free, pickup in Cleburne.Different MTS Mts12

I have the same ones, mine are just a little more beat up than yours....... I don't worry about them too much when rearranging a tank or moving sand.
ditto in FL lol!

Different MTS 858205 I would not put any snails smaller than an 1/2" apple snail in any of my tanks. In the past had too many filter issues. and they Multiply like super rabbits. lol

MTS don't get into filters and tend to stay in the sand.

i beg to differ... they get everywhere, i usually find a bunch in my canister filters whenever i clean them out. Mine usually stay in the sand when they lights are on and when it's off, the all migrate to the top of the tank... looks super gross. I have even found some that have crawled out of the tank and on the floor.

I've never found them in my filters, now pond and ramshorn snails are a different story.

They do get in your filters. This different type I have now move about all the time. They are out on the glass during the day. They also get larger than the type in some of my other tanks. I don't dislike them so bad, just getting too many. I pull them off the glass daily and throw them in the trash can in the fish room.

If there are no 'predators' in the tank they will be out all the time, but you add a 'predator' they go back into hiding.
