ID this peacock please 910

Help me figure out what kind of peacock this is. I bought it from a LFS that had it labeled as Asst. Peacock. I thought it was hormone fed because of how bright it is. It is only 2" and has beautiful blues color but i have had him for about 2 months and no color loss, its face has actually got brighter.

PS... I know i need to switch to sand ID this peacock please 393849

I had a trio of them. bought them at a auction as Aulonocara Cobue regal.

Never produced any fry so I sold them. The male looked like the male above.

Correct me if I am wrong, but do regal blues normally have that deep of a red on their body?

Here is the regal blue. It looks to skinny compared to this picture above. He seems thicker.

Its a hybrid for sure. Wild Cobue do not have red in the body-only the ventrals. Fort Maguire and Chiloelo have the red flush on the sides. None of them have red edging on the dorsal. That fish was hormoned to begin with in that early photo, but he is a beaut. Its an Asian 'melting pot' import. The methyltestosterone they use by adding it to the water or feeding them hormoned food is not allowed here in the states. Used to be, but not any longer.
