True. Discus 858205 I've tried and they all died.

The prices aren't eye catching neither. $50+

what type of fish are you trying to keep with them. If they are discus only the temps can very depending on what source you check. I personally keep mine at 86. I've heard of people keeping them all the way up to 90 regularly. I wouldn't recommend that. If you are asking if 84.5 is ok for them to be in, I would say yes that is fine. I don't think i would go lower than that unless you are trying to accomodate other fish. I don't know how low you can actually go and them be ok. Suggestion: 84-86 you are good(discus only).

sorry for being so wordy but i don't wanna rewrite it.

I just started keeping discuse and i keep my water at 80-84. I have not found many fish that you can keep with the discuse becouse of there water conditions. Ph around 6.0 and soft water. If you buy the discus as babies and buy some angels as babies they will grow together and be just fine, maybee some tetras and other smaller fish can go with.

i've heard if you keep discus under 82 degrees they are more susceptible to disease. Also, unless your discus are wild caught, aquarium raised discus can be kept in ph all the way up to 7.6 that i have seen. The main thing is to make sure that whatever ph you have them at it is stable. Also a harder water as opposed to soft water is reccomended for raising fry and juvies. Soft isn't needed until breeding

ya, but angels are really aggressive eaters. and discus are not as much.
i tried it but my discus were not eating alot since the angels are pigs with fins.
so i gave them away after awhile.

cardinals can hang with discus temps.
congos, pristella and lemons did ok for me too.
also emerald corys are ok.
