| I won the bid on 100 cherry shrimp with shipping total cost is just over $60.00. I also bid on a lot of 10 Cardinal shrimp which were new a couple years ago found in a lake in the Sulawasi (spelling?) region of Indonesia.
I plan on getting the cherry shrimp and selling half of them for around $2.00 each which is less than the pet store (they want $6.00 each), I may even sell 1/2 to the pet store; the other half to be raised in my 20 gallon tall.
The Cardinals I hope to get a breeding colony going.

| The cherry shrimp are doing great in a tank with three asian filter shrimp (bamboo shrimp) and two Amano Shrimp); I even have a few berried females.
The Cardinal shrimp aren't fairing so well.

Thank you, the photos of the shrimp would even be more spectacular if I tweeked them in Photoshop (sharpenned, a little white balance tweeks, but no adding or removing content). I knew I was going to get the 100 Cherry Shrimp so I didn't try to clean algae off the tank for a week with the exception of cleaning the front glass so that the shrimp would be ready to eat well without me messing up the water by adding flake food or an algae wafer that wouldn't get completely eaten. The Bamboo shrimp have molted and there are many sheds from the Cherry shrimp. Also all the female cherry shrimp that are 3/4 to 1 1/2 inch long are colored out nicely and berried. Dave | |
