NEW Copadichromis Borleyi (Kadango) "Red Fin" Fry

I'm so excited! Have only one male and one female (lil over a yr) since they were really small and they now have their first fry......she spit on Friday. For a while the male has been in full color but the female didn't seem to like him one bit......guess she was not mature yet. The parents are pretty big so I should have expected large fry but it was still surprising to see the red fins on them that young but I expected them to come out all black cus that's how the parents looked when they were small, anyway........I counted bout 30 fry and I'm sure they will be big in no time.

Thx! Great seeing you guys too. Already making plans for that 29g......gonna take it slow cus it will be in the family room off from the 135g so we can watch a lil TV and look at the tank too! I want it to blend in with the decor......girl thang.....lol! My husband would luv it if I make it have a LA Laker or SF 49er them......oooh did I say that out loud? Anyway I can't wait to see the Borleyi fry grow out cus I just like to see the changes that some fish go through. The dad is the biggest transformation we've seen so far. He must have been bout 2 - 2.5" when we first got him and the female then in a matter of months he seemed to change overnight and get huge...can't wait! Maybe some for sale/trade in the future...I'll keep you posted.

Hey they are coming along great and yes I will be selling real soon, they are almost at 1" now. I think they came out at that size.......lol.....these are the largest fry I've had yet. The hard thing is they will all look the same until a male starts to show some color or get larger and this seemed to happen for my male overnight. I'm watching them close to see the differences in body shape, fins etc. cus even at full size the male has no egg spots and the biggest difference between male and female is the top and bottom fin shape.....yeah not a lot to go on huh.
