| It's one of those Stone fish that hide in the gravel. I think they're called that. I've seen them on Nat Geo. | |

| I've used them in reef tanks they are superb at getting rid of hair algae. the down side is once the food source runs out they may die. thats why we share one and pass it to the next reefer when the HA is gone. some Sea Hare species do produce a purple ink when disturbed, but this ink is actually far less toxic than most people think, in a large aquarium with good filtration, it is unlikely that a Sea Hare would cause problems in terms of toxicity. to supplement the food for your SH you can feed it lightly boiled lettus better yet is Ulva "aka sea lettuce". very cool critter. congrats! oh they are also really curious so make sure there's nothing he can damage himself on like exposed heaters,power heads etc... | |
