| Hey ppl
Having problems in one of my planted tanks, containing; plecos, silver sharks, upside down catfish, black ghost, loaches, siamese algae eaters.
Who do you think is the culprit ? , Thxs .. | |

| could be the pleco or silver shark. is the silver shark a bala shark? | |

| Yeah Bala shark - So you think its either the bala or the pleco ? Btw, also forgot to mention , have some kribensis cichlids also. | |

| I would lean toward the first 2 listed. Kribs should be fine with plants. | |

| I had some algae eaters in my 40g and a lot of my java fern started to disappear i dont know if they ate it or it just died quickly :/ | |

| What do the plants look like? What type of problems are you seeing on them?
Any recent changes on the tank or setup? | |

| pleco! what type of placo, and kribs are fine with a planted tank, if they have a cave or they will start digging and up rooting plants. | |

| Hmm Alrite. No recent changes. Well i removed the plecos and silver sharks- 2 days now My plants seem fine. Hope they continue to go strong ! :D | |

| The only problem I've had with the Plecos is that they damage 'weak stemmed' plants. Seem to do fine with plants like Swords, onions, and even Annacharis. The Bala sharks will take one look at a plant and say 'yum' | |

| Lol ! "The Bala sharks will take one look at a plant and say 'yum' fish" crazy fish ate many of my plants :S Btw upside down catfish or some varieties of catfishes , do they eat plants ?? | |

| I have had no problems with cory catfish and 'deep rooted' plants. They won't eat them - but they'll root up shallow-rooted plants. | |

| I had some clowns, kubotai, and yoyo's with a "common pleco"... long story short they destroyed the place.. someone punched holes all the way up and down the java ferns inbetween the veins...

What loaches are you keeping? any pictures?? -peace JT Well I have clowns(but just removed them), I still have 5 yoyo loaches, 3 Blue loaches.. I am not sure if the cause problems. But I seen my Black ghost fish break some plant stems O.o - And i have 2 of em , one over 30 cm - Don't want to move them out :S.. | |
