I pulled this guy out this morning after a week of trying the Bristle worm trap. needless to say the trap only caught tiny ones so I anchored a piece of raw shrimp to a disc and within 5 min I had him eating the shrimp so I took my pinchers of power and pulled it out yuck! I have one more thats even bigger than this one. I will get him tomorrow.
incase you don't know these can pack a nasty sting at this size and they can also eat clam mantles some corals and anemone. the small ones are a great part of your cuc but no the big ones...

Kewl! Can you throw it in some Vodka/alcohol and ship it to me? It'd really catch some of the boys' attention in my class.

If you have live rock , And I'm sure you do , you will never get them all out . Sorry . They reproduce rapidly. And I have taken them out of my tank that were a long as 12 inches and as big around as 3/8 inch diameter . The only ways I know to get rid of them is ,,, they make a commercial chemical that you put in a bucket and dip your rock in it . Or you mix a bucket of super salty water ( 3 times what you have in your tank ) and dip rocks in it . Or dip your rocks in fresh water for a while ( draw back to this one is it will kill everything on or in the rock ), or you can hold the rock out of water and be very patient , they will start to come out searching for water . Then pluck them of/out with hemostats .
Good luck ,,, Ray

Ray, they are a great part of my cuc. I don't want them all out.
I just get the ones bigger than an inch out.
I have been reefing for a long time and I know how big they can get.
its all about balance.

i wouldnt worry about them too much...its kinda like a dog and fleas...if you have a dog. it will have a flea or two from time to time..no matter how much shampoo and drops you use. IMO lol
