| is there any type of rock that you can not put into your aquarium for canes or shelve type rock scaping im curious i just bought some river edge rock almost looks like river rock the same type of granule look i did the vinegar test and sizzled so it will raise my ph but curious if anything will harm the fish similar to what i just got its just flat pieces though | |

| If I am ever in doubt I boil the rocks for about 20 sec. each. | |

| boiling rocks can be dangerous as if there are air pockets in the rock it could explode. kind of like poporn lol. i do not think this will happen in 20 secs tho lol. | |

| Those are just fine for your hard water cichlids. Just hose them off good let them dry in the sun for a day and you are good. |
