Ok, if anyone can help I'd be very appreciative... On my 29 Bio Cube I just did a 1/3 water change since it was set up for a couple of months with nothing in it when I got it. Even before the water change the salinity was hovering around 1.020 and now that I have done the water change it is hovering right around the same and I put 3.5 cups of salt per 5 gal bucket... Any ideas why I can't get it to 1.024-.025?
    Any help would be appreciated.

if your salinity is low you need to increase the amount of salt mix you are putting in your water until your tank is stable. It must have been mixed low to start with. If there is nothing living in there you can do it quickly but if there are living beings in there you will have to do it over time. The amount probably depends on brand. I use instant ocean and it is 1/2 cup per gallon to be at 1.024 or so.

Ok, cool I was hoping it was something easy enough and I'm glad that I wasn't just being dumb :)
    Thanks

When I mix my Salt water , I do it in 5 gallon buckets . I just add salt to the buckets until they are at 1.023-1.024 . Then add it to the tank.
