| so i have a 55gal tank and im undecided on as to convert to a saltwater, currently it isnt anything but i have a 20gal fresh tank and i thought about putting those fish in the 55gal. any ideas lol? | |

| I would say make the 55 gallon a Saltwater and sell the 20gallon ...Get a 55 gallon or bigger and put some Africans in it. | |

| Hmmm Well the pleco you could put with the cichlids but im not so sure about your blue paradise. | |

| Yeah they are pretty to. You could always just keep the 20 for him and get a 55 for Africans! | |

| id say go salt, it is much easier for salt to be in a 55 than a 20. the water stays way more stable, thats why you see such large reef tanks so often, the bigger the tank, the mores stable the tank will be which means the less amount of amonia spikes etc. if you do decide to go salt, i would not start with anything under a 50 and i recommend longer/wider than tall due to the large surface area which make a difference in salt | |
