Hello all, i was wondering if I still need a heater in my tank if it is in a temperature controlled room. I keep mystery snails, fancy guppies, and platies and the water temp stays between 74 and 76. Is it bad that it fluctuates like that or should it stay at one steady temp? thanks in advance.

i found online it is 76-80 so it looks like you are fine. i would not worry about it or you could end up with this.

Temperature is good for those fish. Fluctuations won't bother anything. Remember that in nature, the temps will fluctuate much farther than that every day.
