no clue long as a penny or nickel they have a small halfmoon betta in with them they have bean in there one day and haven't been eaten

Rubber band a piece of Zucchini ( minus seeds ) to a rock and place it on the botton . They will like that . They also like a piece of driftwood . Other than that , Algae disc's and flake food work for all of mine .

so they will live in my tank, are pleco only tanks fun to watch and easy to care for?

Plecos are a "dirty" fish . They like clean water . If you want to keep a pleco tank , you will have to do 30% water changes every 2-3 days to keep them happy and healthy. I have 4 pleco only tanks . I LOVE to watch them . They are not real active ( except at feeding time LOL )
Good flow is also appreciated by them as they come from a river environment .
