Nebraska certifies new records for fish caught
LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission has certified five new entries in the state fishing record book this summer.
Recognized were:
Josh Adamson of Alliance, for an archery record with a 3-pound, 7-ounce European rudd in Box Butte Reservoir.
Mark Shafer of Alliance, for a surface spearfishing record with a 25-pound, 10-ounce common carp in Box Butte Reservoir.
Michael Holly of Belden, for an archery record with a 79-pound, 6-ounce bighead carp in the Missouri River.
James M. Watson of Omaha, for an archery record with a 38-pound, 10-ounce silver carp in a Sarpy County sandpit.
Tyler Ciurej (TSI-yoo-rey) of Bellevue, for a hook & line record with a 4-pound, 3-ounce goldfish in Halleck Park Lake.
