i had intended to but i ran into a couple of issues

1. frag tank is not ready

2. this joker attached to the rock in seconds and would be almost impossible to remove him now

3. clowns bit me enough while putting it into the tank ( i can imagine how they would react if i tried to remove it now lol!)

nope they are just protecting thier friend teh nem, at one time i had a fire clown that was roughly 4.5" front front to back. i had her in my 90 and didnt even need a nem because i could put my hand in the tank opposite end from where she was at and she would be-line for my hand and start biting and to make matters worse she actually hurt when she bit lol! . needless to say back to the fish shop she when cause she was way to agressive (i am not surprised they tried to weasel out of taking it back but i ended up getting taken care of

ok i got another nem yesterday on my way back from OKC, it is a Long tentacle anemone and for 13.79 + tax i just could not pass it up, my small clown got in it within 5 minutes of putting it in the tank and stayed in it all night, i even fed it a piece of silverside which it quickly took and devoured. now for some pics of the little guy.

i doubt it nitty, i placed him in that location do to that is th eonly place i could find where the current wasnt blowing him away, also every lta i have ever seen prefers teh sandy bottom of a tank but even if he does move i dont think it will be inbetween the rock because that is where teh GBTA is at LOL. in all honesty if he does decide to move i dont care just the place i have him in is safe from 1200 GPH of flow from the K4 above him (2400 GPH if you count both of the K4's) lol!

well i woke this morning to a horrible site, my GBTA ( the nem in the first pictures on my original post) was squeezed into one of my koralia 4 powerheads cry , i had to cut him into 3 pieces to get him out and i am not sure any of them are going to make it, but here is hoping for the best. in the meantime i am on one of my fund scavenger hunts ( i call it a scavenger hunt because it is like scavenging for leftovers after everyone else has already got the goods)so i can get another nem

Sorry to hear that dude. If it wasn't for the False Perculas, I would have never
purchased an anemone. I had 2, but once they hosted one, I got rid of the other.
This thing has never moved.

thanks nitty, i am hoping for the best right now but i dont think it is going to make it, and if it doesnt i am seriously considering just waiting until i finally get the 110 up and running before getting another, however i may have to because my clowns dont seem interested in the lta anymore and just moved from the large bta to one that is tiny (size of a quarter) and they are beating it up .

It's amazing that these clowns never get stung, no matter what they do to it.
I seen a pair of clowns hosting in a colony of Xenia. Do you have any in your tank right now. If I decide to come to the auction, I could bring you a nice size frag from mine(pictured above). Do you know how to manually split an anemone? It's about the size of a flat volleyball. It's doesn't grow anymore, so I guess it would be O.K. to split.

so far teh 3 pieces of my bta havent melted but they dont look very good especially with my clowns not letting them healas far as xenia i have some but it is in my fuge my large clwon was beating it up so i put it down in the fuge with th eclowns that refuse to host anything LOL. as far as manually splitting a nem goesyes i can do it but you could also there are 2 ways, sharp scissors, or sharp razor knife, just cut down completely through it foot and all making sure to get part of the mouth in each peice you make, then you give it at least 3 weeks to heal (might be able to go 2 but i recommend 3

Seabae and BTA's are great for clowns to host. I am amazed at how fast yours took the the anemones. Thats great. I have a pair if maroon clowns that host three anemones. Its like getting kicked out of bed, the make will just goover to one of the others. All are doing well and are fed whole silversides. They love them. My large RTBA would eat 2 at the same time if I would feed him that. Once any anmeone sets his foot and likes a place, they will stay there foe a while, or until something happens to make them move. If your anemone is moving, make sure you get foam covers for any intakes you have or you will ennd up in trouble. I had one work its way into a Korelia pump, luckily got it out with out to much damge.
