Found this while I was scooping off copious amounts of duckweed. This is in one of my planted betta tanks that I keep a male and a female with a glass divider between. Though the female can and has jumped back and forth right after I've topped off the tank.

This particular tank was set up in May, so the youngster's maximum age is 7 weeks. It measures at 3/4". Sire is an unusually colored Butterfly Salmon Double-Tail, mother is a very large Irridescent Royal Blue Crown Tail.

Providing it is almost 2 months old for a male it should have more finage so my guess is it's a female and because of the lack of coloring it looks like it may take after the father. Could be wrong. Time will tell. Keep use posted.
