When a ventral fin on an Angel fish is bent or broken will it grow back? This one later broke off.

Every once in a while 1 of my angels fins gets biten off and it usually grows back. But I have seen some angels with bent fins that may be like that for life.

He looks like he has fin rot, clamped fins! Do they all look like this.

Oh no I think that's just from the shot Vix. They are all fine. Ok so really then it would be better if it broke off then just to be bent. It will grow back if broke. Right?

Sometimes they grow back more deformed (bent) and (usually) shorter.

Oh dang.

Does not effect their genetics though so he can still be a breeder. Have to look on the bright side.

Bent fins are caused by mishandling and over crowding at a young age. To many fry per gallon.

Had one that got left in a tank with some fish basically he was so small you couldn't see him, anyways along the way one of them had gotten bitten off, kept that angel for many years until he died of old age anyways by the time he'd passed it had pretty much grown completely back.
