PostSubject: margarita snails - eggs???   2/11/2011, 9:04 am

So last night I noticed on my glass white circles with small yellow inner circles. The only things in my tank that are new are 6 'margarita' snails. They do look like the pics I see of snail eggs online and the snails look like the pics I see of margarita snails. Now the next thing is that everything I just read says they do not breed in tanks. So if they dont' breed in tanks what is on my glass? I don't have any other pairs of snails. The other two kinds I have are one of each and they have been there since the start almost 1-1/2 yrs so I doubt they decided now to make eggs.

They look like this pic...not mine but I found it online...

Does anyone think they may actually hatch or are they just taking up space on my glass? There are probably at least three dozen of them.

Just previewed what I am posting and didn't even notice the snail in the pic before but it looks very similar to my new snails also. I have 3 largish ones and three about the size in this pic.

So I guess they will hatch, Just leave them alone? Any clue how long they take to hatch? I could use some extra snails! :)
