My Discus Pics!! (everything for sale now!!)

First pic is one of my Discus when I received him form the fedex guy.. Poor guy was a MESS!!

And here he is a few months later looking pretty darn good IMO....

Had to add my cat Kami watching her friends!!

they aren't as hard as people make them.. talk to txredneck.(jon) he is in weatherford. he has great prices and great discus. he's even one some of mine at the tca auctions. $$$

give them good food, at minuim 30% at 2 times a week and they are happy, oh and clean warm water too.

Ummmm, you know having that tank on the stand like that is asking for a busted tank........

I have to agree with plantedtankdude. They are not as bad as some people make them out to be, but they do require dedication and time. I also feel that with all the captive bread fish out there makes them less sensitive to PH/water parameters, but just my personal feelings.
I do 30% water changes daily which some may think is not enough and some may think its overkill.. Lol, I have the time and takes me 15minutes and is worth it to me and my fish..

I have always had heavily planted Discus tanks, this is my first BBT and man, I LOVE IT!! So easy to keep clean, more water in tank and is just soooo clean!!

Hmm, it has been on that stand in the same place since 2001? How should it be placed?

I don't want to post where I bought them as they were a mess when I received them. But it was via a website. furious

I plan on getting a few more once I get a bigger tank, and will be buying from Kenny's Discus.

They eat a lot on weekends as I am around to feed at will.
On weekdays before work and a few times when I get home.

They love a Beefheart mix with some flake food as a binder. They also feast on Mysis Shrimp and flake foods.
