Romeo, an American Staffy mix adopted from the SPCA last year (he was 3-4 months old and a parvo survivor) and Ellie the almost 3 year old Affenpinscher:

Ellie how she usually looks without a shave and being very helpful cleaning up the angel food mix someone spilled on the floor (FYI, affenpinscher means 'monkey terrier'. I can't remember the french name, but it translates to 'moustached little devil'):

And the new addition, a two year old something-or-other (wire terrier, yorkie, chi mix???) called Spike. It's hard to get a good photo of this one. He's a momma's boy and if I move, he's straight at my feet. For this one, he'd pulled my robe down and arranged it to suit himself:

On top of these guys, we also have a lizard, hamster, parakeet and of course the soon to be 8 fish tanks.

I was never really one for small dogs either. Smallest we had were corgis, but mostly the original staffys and staffy mixes. I had to rehome my two when I moved to the US and I was pretty down in the dumps about it. Hubby walked me in to a pet store one day and was cooing over the bigger dogs, but I'd spotted this funny looking little mop prancing up and down her crate and said "I want to see her". She got out, kissed me, and then when we got to the play area, she climbed in to my handbag. That was it. LOL. The other little one ... well, he's a foreclosure victim. They were about to dump him when my son arrived and said "I'll take him".

This is my only Four legged family member, She came to us when i took her from a lady that was keeping her locked up in a closet that was about 2'x2' and she was very underweight , she was let out only to get beaten up by by a husky, the lady thought this was funny, i took Sophie, and called animal control after taking pictures. The other dog was taken and the lady has to serve time, when we got her she weighed six pounds, she now is 13 pounds and perfect weight and as you can see at 15 she is the Princess.
