Has anyone ordered/purchased and had delivered saltwater ready made to fill new aquariums, I have a new setup and need to fill the tank with 180 gallons. The largest container I have is a 30 gallon plastic trash can that I plan to use for water changes. Thanks in advance.

I would be cautious on the water. If it is old it will be depleted of nutrients and will be more problematic for your cycling. If you can do a copper and see if it is ro water lfs (local fish stores) say its ro and its tab etc etc. Are you adding the water the same day as fish. I would always prefer to make my own water. I had an emergency one day and lost roughly 100 gallon and my lfs came up with 2 55 gallon rubbermaid cont. My tank at that time was never right again i had a major die off and algae blooms . I hope this helps

I can give you about 50 gallons and sand to cycle your tank. If intersted i have green totes just get contractor bags and fill then up . My sand is about 5yrs old it has anything you need to cycle and i got some rock i can toss your way so you dont have to have any die off

That would be a lot of money for 180g.Either call your local water company (who ever brings water to offices, hospital etc..) and ask them if they have RO water, distilled and have 180g delivered and mix it 30g a time at home.Or go to the grocery store and buy a few 5g refill buckets for 1.50 and make a few trips to the store and mix at home. It's worth the work. $$$

Couldn't you even buy distilled water at the grocery store for more like $.75/gallon and mix it at home?
