I notice everytime i put a cucumber in for my SAE and CAE that my firemouths cichilds go over to it and bite at it fairly hard...I cant really tell if they are actually eating it or just striking at it..To me it looks like they are trying to eat it...

Omnivorous and herbivorous fish will eat veggis. And most of them really enjoy zucchini, I have to put way more than my plecos will eat in the tank just so the plecos will get some.

I should get zucchini for my plecos. They normally just get algae wafers and bloodworms.
