| How deep is the tank and do you just have the one bulb on it? i have good results with a 5000k dual bulb on a 20 long...yeah found bulbs for $3.50 each at petsmart. My anubias(sp) java moss and penny wort all seem to be doing ok.
Some of the more light intense plants i go with the 10k myself.
While I am here does anyone use atinics for plants on deep tanks??? |

| t5? t8? t12? vho? power compact? led?
6700k is best suited for plants bc of the spectrum. You will be limited to what you can grow with 5000k. |

| 5,000-10,000 k will grow plants... I like a mix of 6,700/ 10,000k or what I'm using right now - 6,700k and a color max. why I like a mix of 6,700 and 10,000 is because the plants need both the red and blue of the spectrum to photosynthesis. |
