hey awesomewhisper im trying to breed my multi's again but he keeps on destroying his nest theyv been in the tank together but seperated for a day now. how long should i keep them seperated? and wen it does come the time to put them together, wat if his nest is not very well built?

Put them together now. He will build the nest when he needs it. I just had a Super Red Delta spawn in a nest with only about a dozen bubbles. LOL They will figure it out. Let nature take it's course.

Yes after I could see that the fry where bobbing up and down. I have had so many males end up eating the fry that I didn't want to leave him in to long. I had two spawns that same day. The others are Super Red Deltas. He's really a crappy looking fish but I'm hoping that the fry will turn out to be nice.

he's pretty tho!!!! hard to find a good red male in the us. where did u get him? and a delat is different than a halfmoon right?

Well I'm really upset becuase I paid a lady good money for a pair of Red HMs and she sends me this crappy pair of Deltas. I wouldn't mind the Deltas if that's what I had asked her for but then to top it off they are really S*^#t ! They are so bad I shouldn't have even breed them............ Yes the difference between a Deltatail ot DT and a Halfmoon is the Deltas caudal is rounded on the outside edges were the HM is sharp. Straight up and a nice shape curve around the caudal.

You're right but she is a trans shipper and I heard afterwards that she is very hard to deal with so I just desided to cut my loses and move on. Still looking for a good pair of Red HMs though. The fry I get from this breeding I can sell at the store or on Ebay to people that don't know the difference and don't care.
