Okay,, I know it has happened to a few of you before. Trying to rush and do things you should not. Not having your mind set on what you are doing.

well i put this light on my top glass for additional light to try and take a picture. after the picture i decided to feed the fish since they did so good... and plunk in it went into the water. Fortunately i had already turned the light offffff! yea, i did one thing right.

I unplugged the light, fished it out, and it is currently drying on a rug! Will it dry enough to be able to use again,, or TRASH IT.. lol

what do you THINK lol

ps the picture SUKD! LOL

Just my opinion, trash it.
I had a fixture fall in once(while on) the bulb shorted out once in, I let it dry for a week. Added a new bulb, turned it on and it worked. After 5-6 minutes, it started smoking from the inside where the ballast are stored. I also heard a fizz like sound in it too.

TRASH IT...

I would hate to hear about a fire.

I would have to agree with Nitty on this one... reluctantly, but still agree. I've done it also, most recently the cats caused it with the whole shattering the glass tops thing. I did it once before with the same results nitty experienced. Bummer, especially since I had just bought a brand new light strip only to have it land in the drink!

It's easier to buy a light fixture than it is to buy a home.
You made the right choice.
