    Southern Waternymph (Najas guadalupensis)

Is a graceful low to medium light plant. It can grow rooted or floating. It seems to do better rooted with a small amount of fertilization. It needs to be in a low current location in the aquarium due to is brittle stems. It grows semi-quickly and will reach the top of the aquarium and grow across the top. It is easily propagated from cuttings placed in the substrate it seems to prefer sand. You may have an issue if you have rowdy and rummaging fish in your tank and may need to replant almost daily before the plant will root itself well enough to stay put.
This plant grows wild in Florida.
