| F1 means the parents are wild caught. this is more of a honor thing as there are no documents to prove the origins of any fish. when i get new fish i try to see pics of the parents first so i have some kind of clue what it is going to look like. | |

| FO-Wild caught F1- First generation F2- Second generation
The first thing you have to keep in mind is what system of water do you want to get your fish from? There are african, south african, and so forth. You want agressive fish or mild fish. When you choose the fish you want, Do your homework on them first. Then you will have to have either a large aquarium or a small one depends now on the fish you keep again. It sounds more difficult then it is. Just come on this site and you will find there is tons of fellow hobbist that will guide you. BEWARE!!!! Once you start, you cant STOP!!!!!! Great Hobby!!!!

most cichlids will get along. i do not really recommend mixing the lakes for the most part. thier are some cases where it does work however. i would also stay way from the bargin mix bin cichlids as those species tend to be a little more aggressive in comparison to some other species. i think it might be easier if you post up cichlids you are considering and what your intentions are with the tank. | |
