I am getting frustrated with trying to catch those fast african cichlids in my 150 Gallon Tank. I devised a fish trap out of a big container where I cut a small hole out, put some food inside, and attached some fishing string to it. I caught 4 fish using this technique (will my son did and he is having fun doing it). Has anyone devised some other technique or means of catching these fish because draining water and removing all holey rocks is too time consuming?

i have seen people do that but it seems to take even longer than just taking the rocks out.

I was going to do that, but didn't have an empty 2 liter bottle so I made something out of a large plastic container instead. There has got to be an easier way of catching those fish

If getting trapped is a sign of intelligence for cichlids, the orange zebras and chailosi are not very bright..LOL..My 6 year old boy just caught another orange zebra.
