     Flushing Mouthbrooders' Fry

    I hear of some of you talking about flushing fry from the mouthbrooder fishys. I personally have never done this and know as I continue breeding cichlids, I must learn how and when to do this procedure. I would like any of you that have mastered this activity to kinda shed a little light on this, as I know there are many other hobbyist that would like to know this also.
    Also, I came across this on cichlidslovers.com called a MOUTHBROODER FLUSHER ! Anyone using this or do you prefer something other?

    That rod might damage them. Just get a Q-Tip and push the lower jaw down and the babies come pouring out.

    I know most do use a syringe, but it seems kinda neat having that angle and ease of shooting the water...

    I use dental syringe for stripping dwarf Mbunas.

    I dont use anything just turn them face down and push my thumb on the bottom of the mouth to get her to open the mouth and she will spit when gasping for air. I havce never lost or smushed tfhem....eggs and babie fry are very delicate!
