I am looking to build/dig a pond that is self sustainable year round here in PA. I want to stock with local stock (perch, sunfish, etc.). Can anyone shed some light on how big you think I would have to go? I know it must be at least 5 foot deep for the perch, but other than that I'm lost. Probably will be a next year thing.
