First topic message reminder :

Grr, these past 7 days have been rough in the human world and the poor fish are miserable as well. I turned the heater to around 80-85 and added an airstone to get more air in the water. Gonna change some water as well.

Alrighty. And onto my isolated popeye. I have been using maracyn 2 and not sure its better. When I 1st put the rainbow in the isolation tank the eye was just swollen. It is now swollen and it looks like a membrane or something is covering the eye. Any ideas?

This pisses me off so bad! The 2 that are left were seeming fine this morning, and now one of them is following in the dead one's tracks. Anytime a fish gets sick I can not get it better. Maybe its time to quit the hobby and sell or give it all away... So beyond frustrated. Just did an emergency water change, probably just in time to watch them die... The fish that are alive have not been moved and yes there is carbon in the filter. Let me guess...I should have taken it out?

Pictus like clown loaches are prone to ick. Yes you should have removed the carbon. I use half does dose quickcure and half dose for formlin the first, third, fifth, seventh and tenth day. Warm water and h2o change before next dose of meds. I put a half of cup salt per 10 gallons. If whiskers curl there history.

I took the carbon out when I did quick cure... after water change and adding salt I put it back in, that is where I was not sure.

Well the last 2 pictus are swimming erratically, and one keeps going side ways...they are probably going to die during the night I guess...I changed some water and added more salt... this whole experience has sucked...I may go see this pet store tomorrow... not that it will do any good.
